Tell is a macOS utility that helps you extract structure from screenshots you choose. This policy explains how data is handled when you use the app.
How Tell Works
Tell processes the screenshots or screen regions you select in order to generate structured output such as tables, palettes, rewritten text, or other results.
- Tell only accesses content when you explicitly trigger an action in the app.
Local Processing
Most processing happens directly on your device. When possible, Tell performs analysis locally so that selected content does not need to leave your computer.
Optional AI Features
Some features may use external AI services to analyze the content you select. When these features are used, the selected content may be sent to third-party providers to generate a response. These providers may process the data according to their own privacy policies. These services are only used when required to perform the feature you requested.

Analytics
Tell may collect minimal anonymous analytics to help improve the product. This information does not include screenshots or the content you select. This information is used only to improve stability and usability.

Data Storage
Tell does not maintain a database of your screenshots or the content you select. Selected content is processed only for the purpose of generating a result and is not stored by Tell after processing is complete.
Security
Reasonable measures are used to protect any data transmitted when using optional online features.
